Hasn't he given many speeches like this before as well? I mean he has been giving speeches on immigration since 2004 yet nothing has happened so far. He addressed it on State of the Union speech, prime-time speech from the oval office, and countless other occasions but what has been the end result - NOTHING. I wouldn't keep my hopes very high just because Bush said so. It�s all up to the congress now.

the pre-adjudication process does not give u any benefits of I-1485.
I hope they don't charge money for pre-adjucation, else this would be another scheme for money making!
From the link, it appears that the talk here is about filing I-485 even when priority date is not current. That's different from before. Having said that, we'll see when it happens and if anything happens.

No need to worry if your employer is consulting company. If so, then in reply to USICS mention that you are employed by employer, but works/worked on different client sites for them which are in different states.
Keep all your previous LCA ready or better attach copies of all with your reply. Not a big deal.
I think its not a difficult RFE to respond. Consult your attorney for formal reply.

Its simple,,fill in form 10c and and form 19 and send it to HR. They should even help you get it direct deposit in to your local account in India. I got mine....it was pain-less. This was not with tcs,,,another company...

I agree, international schools mirror US/UK formats and the transition is easier. My neighbor returned with an 8 year old kid. She had problems with the second language (hindi in her school, tutions helped a bit) she was fine with the rest. The parents had planned in advance, be prepared for fact that even if your child is among the best here, he/she will be average there, the learning standards are very high in good schools. BTW in india children are already exposed to writing in the second language from KG
If you contact the school they will email you a list of academic standards for each class, you can go through the list and spend some time working on your childs weak spots (if you want a URL for such a list let me know or search for DPS pune or any other well known school). Its different there, but there is more freedom and children enjoy it more (there will be pressures, related to mixing with children and language, but children are more adaptable than us.). Be prepared for a learning curve and an adjustment period thats all.

Does anyone know what time it may take for FP notices to arrive for guys whose cases were Xfered to CSC?
BTW, does that make any difference if the 485 case has been transferred from another center to TSC? majority of guys who've got the FP notice are straight filters at TSC.

It's a bit of a guess without seeing the images, however when the light source i.e. a lamp, or a window is in the picture area it forces the camera to average its brightness into the exposure calculation. The result = dark pictures. I remember way back when when I was just getting started I had no Idea how dark it realy was when I started shooting indoors. Uping the sensitivity As previosly described is most likely necessary. (either that or a tripod, and neck clamps for your subjects as was done in the days of tintypes.) You might also consider bouncing a flash off of a white ceiling or wall to soften the light and avoid the harsh lighting you have learned to dislike.

I filed my i 140 and i 485 on Dec 23rd 2003 under EB3 category. I think my labor was filed under EB3 category. My Priority date is Mid August 2003. After 180 days of filing (around Nov 2004) I left my sponsoring company and joined another company with similar Job responsibility (to avail AC21), But didn't get my H1b transferred to new company. I got married recently and Ofcourse I can't file for my wife's i 485 since I am from India and visa numbers are not available. Can I get my H1Bvisa transferred to new employer if he is willing to sponsor? I got 3 years on H1B left

My Lawyer is saying that we cannot apply for AP without a valid reason and a valid paper such as someone is sick or wedding with a proof.
Is this true?

And later on page 4 section III B 1 they go on to say:
You may apply if you have an adjustment of status application pending and you seek to travel abroad for emergent personal or bona fide business reasons
However on confirming with my lawyer this is not really enforced by USCIS. You can request an AP without submitting proofs of personal emergency or a bonafide business reason, and USCIS will grant you an AP.
Is this true?

But using AC21 without having I-140 approved is big risk..u never know how the X emplyer might treat communication with USCICS with RFE is received.

Good to hear that Americans are getting an idea what it would be to live in a shell in a global economy. Germany, UK opened up their borders and more EU countries might follow suit like Netherlands, Belgium, lastly France.

EVL = Employment Verification Letter
Usually the employer provides a letter on their letter head that the person is currently employed with them as XYZ. I usually get one before traveling outside US so that I can show it to IO in case they ask for it as proof of continued employment.

Everyone make sure to send a check to IV while mailing documents of 485 to USCIS. If you forget IV now, you will come running back to IV after a couple of years while your 485 sits at USCIS and keeps hatching eggs.
