Strange. SL works on all my stuff without ever crashing, including my Hackintosh.

Ive actually had decent results with the GoPro as far as a cheap camera goes. With your above requests that camera would suffice. However I wouldnt use it for ENG, Docs (well maybe as B-roll) or anything thatll need low-light.
Now of your budget is over 1k then we can talk better cameras ;)
Currently testing a Sony PMW-F3. Its the new Sony HD camera that can handle all kinds of lenses (PL yada yada).
We generally use the high-end stuff here at work e.g. RED MX but at times we have to purchase and assess lower end cameras for other depts.
If you need something to be safe around or in water, you cant go wrong with the GoPro. It impresses me more every time I use it. It isn't the most user friendly, but "bang for your buck" is, IMO, off the chart.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to get into Macs as I've been very impressed with what I've seen at our local Apple store. I'm definately getting an iPhone someday and am leaning towards getting a Macbook.
Couple things REALLY p'd me off about Job's address today.....
1. No announced blu-ray support. I thought something would be coming(FINALLY) being that blu has all but sealed up the format war and that Apple was a partner. Instead...no. Nothing. I want a Macbook with an optical drive...and I don't want it limited to DVD. I have 52 blu-ray movies and the ability to store 25GB per layer on a single blu-ray disk makes me yearn for a notebook with support and I don't want to go get a Sony Vaio. I would like to use Leopard.
2. iPhone updates. New software upgrades. Yay, great. Seriously, the map feature is cool and all that. Neat. Wheres the HARDWARE upgrades?! All these leaked rumors about 3G capability and the need for more storage space only to get neither issue addressed. WHY?
The MBA is really cool and neat, but will be just a niche product - at least for now until there features added. Right now its just a slimmer version of the Macbook with less power, no optical drive, and no user-replaceable battery. A really cool niche product, but not practical at all.
MW isn't over yet....could it be that more announcements such as those I addressed could still be made? I'm hoping so, because if not I am VERY disappointed in what I saw today.

You mean short of finding someone with an unbroken installation CD or buying a new copy of the OS?
You could try that application whose first syllable is a tangy, green fruit and whose second syllable rhymes with fire...but I don't know how much luck you'll have.

We did something like this one (http://www.trafalgar.com/european-heritage-2011) back in 1990, although it has changed somewhat. It was great, except for the up-at-the-crack-of-dawn, get breakfast, and on-the-bus shite.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to merge two or more images together using Aperture? Only have this and iPhoto at the moment.
Looking for a package that will allow me to combine images (before and after scenario) for a range of engine components that i refurbish.
Any recommendations for both bought or free software package's would be appreciated.

Try starting your machine holding down option(alt) with the original startup CD and start "apple hardware test" it migth give you a clue.

You are quite mistake, this second preview is near feature complete. It needs some polishing, but for the most part it's nearly ready to be shipped.
Sorry, but it is nowhere near ready to be shipped. It easily needs another 3-6 months. It's still buggy, has performance issues and many features are still missing.

My iPhone 4 is actually better than both point and shoot cameras we own (we haven't bought a new one in a few years), so yes, it has totally replaced my point and shoot camera.
